Terms
of Use.

Effective 12 September 2026 Last updated 5 August 2026 Version 1.0 Governed by Indian law

These terms are the agreement between you and Zinga Sportz. They cover how accounts work, what happens on a Zinga ground, how bookings and payments are handled, what an umpire's decision means, and where each side's responsibility ends. Read them before you register — using Zinga means you accept them.

01Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and [REGISTERED ENTITY NAME] (“Zinga”, “Zinga Sportz”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in India with registered office at [REGISTERED ADDRESS, BENGALURU, KARNATAKA, PIN].

By accessing zingasportz.com, downloading the Zinga app, submitting an early access or registration form, entering a Zinga competition, booking a battleground, or officiating a Zinga fixture, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

These Terms are published in accordance with Rule 3(1)(a) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and constitute an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000. No physical or digital signature is required.

02Definitions

  • Services — the Zinga website, mobile applications, Umpire App, scoring systems, competitions, venue booking tools and all related features.
  • User — anyone who accesses the Services, including Players, Clubs, Venue Partners, Umpires and Brand Partners.
  • Player — an individual registered to participate in Zinga fixtures.
  • Club — a registered team entity (apartment, college, corporate, school or community) with a roster of Players.
  • Battleground — a cricket venue listed on Zinga, whether owned by a Venue Partner or by Zinga.
  • Venue Partner — the owner or operator of a Battleground listed on the platform.
  • Umpire — an individual certified and engaged by Zinga to officiate fixtures.
  • Brand Partner — a business purchasing sponsorship, activation or advertising from Zinga.
  • Competition — any league, tournament, cup or series operated on the platform, including the Warriors, Commanders, Kings and Lords tiers.
  • Content — text, images, video, statistics, commentary and any other material on or submitted to the Services.

03Eligibility

To use the Services you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age, or be registered by a parent or lawful guardian in a junior category we expressly offer;
  • be competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872;
  • not be barred from receiving the Services under any applicable law; and
  • not be currently suspended or banned from Zinga.

Competitions are currently operated in and around Bengaluru, Karnataka. Some features, fixtures and venues may be restricted by geography, format or competition tier. If you register on behalf of a Club, company or organisation, you warrant that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

04Your account

You must provide accurate, current and complete information when registering, and keep it updated. One person, one account — creating multiple accounts to manipulate rankings, eligibility or promotional offers is a material breach of these Terms.

You are responsible for all activity under your account, including for keeping your password and one-time passwords confidential. Notify us immediately at security@zingasportz.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to secure your credentials.

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account. Closure does not remove match results from the permanent competitive record of a completed or live season, does not cancel confirmed bookings, and does not extinguish amounts already owed.

05Our role on the platform

Zinga performs two distinct roles, and it matters which one applies:

  • As organiser. For competitions we run, and for umpiring we provide, Zinga is the operator and is directly responsible for fixture scheduling, officiating standards and the competition rulebook.
  • As intermediary. For third-party Battlegrounds, Zinga is a booking platform connecting you with a Venue Partner. The contract for use of the ground is between you and that Venue Partner. Zinga is an “intermediary” under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 in respect of Content posted by Users, and does not initiate, select the receiver of, or modify that Content.

We do not guarantee the condition, safety, licensing or availability of a third-party Battleground, nor the conduct of any other User.

06Competitions & leagues

Each Competition is governed by these Terms together with its own published rulebook covering format, overs, squad size, substitutions, points, tie-breakers, promotion and relegation. Where the two conflict, the Competition rulebook prevails for on-field matters and these Terms prevail for everything else.

6.1  Entry and eligibility

  • Entry fees, registration windows and squad-lock deadlines are stated at the time of registration and must be met in full.
  • A Player may represent only one Club per Competition per season unless a transfer is approved in writing by Zinga.
  • Fielding an unregistered, ineligible or impersonating player will result in forfeiture of the fixture and may result in points deduction or expulsion.

6.2  Fixtures, forfeits and abandonment

  • Fixtures are scheduled by Zinga. We may reschedule for weather, ground condition, safety, civic restriction or force majeure.
  • A team that fails to field the minimum number of players within the published grace period forfeits the fixture.
  • Matches abandoned for weather or unsafe ground are resolved under the Competition rulebook (rescheduling, points-sharing or a reduced-overs method as specified there).

6.3  Results, statistics and rankings

Scores recorded by the officiating Umpire on the Zinga Umpire App are the official record. Rankings, awards and league standings are computed from that record. Zinga may correct clerical or scoring errors and recompute standings; we will notify affected Clubs when we do.

6.4  Prizes

Prizes are as announced for each Competition, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash unless expressly stated. Recipients are responsible for any tax arising, and Zinga may deduct tax at source where the law requires. Prizes will be withheld where a result is under investigation for a conduct or integrity breach.

07Umpires & on-field decisions

The umpire's decision is final

All on-field decisions made by a Zinga Umpire during play — including dismissals, no-balls, wides, boundaries and the interpretation of playing conditions — are final and binding. Play does not stop for review, and results are not reopened on the basis of disagreement with a judgement call.

What can be escalated. Scoring errors (a misrecorded run, an over miscounted), eligibility breaches, and allegations of misconduct or bias may be escalated to Zinga's dispute panel. Submit within 48 hours of the fixture ending through Match → Raise a dispute in the app, with the fixture ID and supporting evidence.

How we resolve. The panel acknowledges within 48 hours and issues a decision within 7 working days. It may uphold the result, correct the scorecard, order a replay, deduct points, or impose sanctions. The panel's decision is final within the platform.

Umpire engagement. Umpires are engaged by Zinga under separate contract. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship between an Umpire and any Club or Player. Abuse, intimidation or physical contact directed at an Umpire results in immediate removal from the ground and a minimum suspension under Section 12.

08Battlegrounds & bookings

8.1  For those booking

  • A booking is confirmed only when payment is received and you receive a confirmation in the app. Listed slots are subject to availability until confirmed.
  • You must arrive and vacate within your slot. Overstaying may be charged at the Venue Partner's published rate.
  • You must comply with the venue's rules on footwear, equipment, alcohol, smoking, noise, parking and guest numbers.
  • You are responsible for damage caused by you or your guests to the pitch, nets, lighting, turf or facilities.

8.2  For Venue Partners

  • You warrant that you own or are authorised to commercially operate the Battleground, and that it holds all required municipal permissions, safety clearances and insurance.
  • Listings — including photographs, dimensions, surface type, amenities, lighting and pricing — must be accurate and kept current.
  • You must honour confirmed bookings. Repeated cancellations may result in delisting and, where a User is out of pocket, recovery of the cost from your payouts.
  • You are responsible for the condition and safety of the premises, and for maintaining adequate public liability insurance.
  • Commission, payout schedule and settlement terms are as set out in your Venue Partner Agreement, which supplements these Terms.

09Clubs & captains

A Club's registered captain or administrator is responsible for the accuracy of the squad roster, for ensuring every listed Player has consented to being added, for the conduct of the Club's players and supporters at fixtures, and for paying Club-level entry and booking fees on time. Zinga may remove a Club from a Competition for repeated non-payment, forfeits or conduct breaches. Club names, crests and colours must not infringe third-party trademarks or be offensive; we may require a change.

10Brand partners

Sponsorships, ground activations, jersey branding and advertising placements are governed by a separate written Brand Partnership Agreement, which prevails over these Terms in the event of conflict. Audience figures, reach estimates and engagement projections shared during discussions are good-faith estimates, not guarantees. Brand Partners receive aggregated, anonymised audience data only, never personal data of Players, except where a Player has separately opted in.

11Fees, payments & refunds

All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by regulated third-party payment gateways; by paying, you also accept the gateway's terms. Zinga does not store your full card or UPI credentials.

11.1  Cancellations and refunds

ScenarioOutcome
Ground booking cancelled > 24 hrs before slotFull refund, less payment gateway charges
Cancelled 6–24 hrs before slot50% refund or full credit to your Zinga wallet
Cancelled < 6 hrs before slot, or no-showNo refund

Approved refunds are initiated within 7 working days and typically reach your original payment method within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank. Wallet credits are valid for 12 months from issue and are not redeemable for cash.

11.2  Late and failed payments

We may suspend access, cancel bookings or withhold Competition entry where amounts are overdue. Chargebacks raised without first contacting us will result in account suspension pending investigation.

11.3  Umpire payouts

Umpire session fees and monthly retainers are governed by the Umpire Engagement Agreement. Payouts are made on the published cycle to the verified bank account on file, subject to applicable tax deduction at source.

12Code of conduct

Zinga exists to make amateur cricket competitive and fair. The following are not tolerated, on the ground or on the platform:

  • Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or harassing behaviour towards any Player, Umpire, venue staff or spectator
  • Physical violence, or the threat of it
  • Playing an ineligible or impersonated Player, or falsifying age or identity
  • Deliberately manipulating scores, results, rankings or match outcomes
  • Betting on Zinga fixtures, or soliciting others to do so
  • Playing under the influence of alcohol or intoxicants
  • Damaging venue property or equipment
  • Posting obscene, defamatory or unlawful Content on the platform

Sanctions escalate according to severity and may include a formal warning, match-fee fine, suspension for a number of fixtures, points deduction for the Club, expulsion from a Competition, permanent account ban, and — where a criminal offence may have occurred — referral to the police.

Reporting

Report misconduct through Match → Report an incident in the app, or email conduct@zingasportz.com. Reports are treated confidentially. Deliberately false reports are themselves a conduct breach.

13Safety & assumption of risk

Cricket carries physical risk

By participating in a Zinga fixture, net session or event, you acknowledge that cricket involves an inherent risk of injury — including from a hard ball, collision, fall or overexertion — and you voluntarily assume that risk.

You confirm that you are medically fit to play, and that you will not participate against medical advice. Zinga strongly recommends you maintain personal health and accident insurance; Zinga does not provide medical or accident cover for Players unless expressly stated for a specific Competition.

You are responsible for wearing appropriate protective equipment. You must disclose any medical condition relevant to your safety on the ground, and we recommend adding an emergency contact to your profile. Umpires and venue staff may stop play or remove a Player where they judge continuing to be unsafe, and that decision is final.

Nothing in this section limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, to the extent that liability cannot be excluded under Indian law.

14Your content & our licence

You retain ownership of Content you submit — profile photos, club crests, venue images, comments and match media. By submitting it, you grant Zinga a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish and display that Content for the purpose of operating, promoting and improving the Services.

You warrant that you own or are licensed to use the Content, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.

Match media. Photographs, highlight clips and livestream footage captured at Zinga fixtures may feature your name, image, likeness and performance, and may be used in Zinga's match reports, social channels, showreels and marketing. You may request removal of specific media as described in our Privacy Policy.

Takedowns. If Content on the platform infringes your rights or is otherwise unlawful, write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@zingasportz.com with details and proof of your rights. We acknowledge within 48 hours and act within the timelines required under the IT Rules, 2021.

15Intellectual property

The Zinga name, logo, wordmark, “Every Game Counts. Every Player Matters.”, the Warriors/Commanders/Kings/Lords tier system, the platform's design, source code, ranking algorithms, and the compiled database of fixtures and statistics are the exclusive property of Zinga Sportz and are protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial cricketing use. You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, resell, frame or create derivative works from the Services or the statistics database without our prior written consent.

16Prohibited use

You must not:

  • use the Services for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of the IT Act, 2000 or the IT Rules, 2021;
  • scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-download Content, or use bots and automated scripts against the Services;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server or network, or probe, scan or test our security;
  • upload malware, or interfere with the operation or integrity of the Services;
  • impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with a Club, brand or authority;
  • use the Services to run betting, gambling or fantasy-money contests on Zinga fixtures;
  • resell ground slots or Competition entries without our written consent;
  • post Content that is obscene, defamatory, hateful, invasive of privacy, or harmful to a child.

17Third-party services

The Services integrate third-party components including payment gateways, mapping and location providers, SMS and email delivery, cloud hosting and analytics. Your use of those components may be subject to their own terms. Zinga is not responsible for the availability, accuracy or conduct of third-party services, or for the content of any external site we link to.

18Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where practicable and immediately where necessary, if you breach these Terms or a Competition rulebook, if we reasonably suspect fraud, score manipulation or impersonation, if amounts are overdue, or if required by law or a court order.

You may stop using the Services at any time and close your account. On termination: your licence to use the Services ends; confirmed bookings and fixtures already played stand; amounts due remain payable; wallet credits are forfeited where termination follows a conduct breach; and Sections 14, 15, and 19 to 24 survive.

19Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zinga disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free or secure; that scores, statistics or rankings will be free of error; that a fixture will proceed as scheduled; or that any Battleground, Venue Partner, Club or Player will meet your expectations. Rankings and ratings are informational and confer no legal right or entitlement.

20Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zinga, its directors, employees, umpires and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss; loss of profit, opportunity, goodwill or data; injury or property damage arising from participation in cricket, save where caused by our negligence; the acts or omissions of another User, Club, Player or Venue Partner; or unavailability caused by force majeure.

Aggregate cap. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to Zinga in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) INR 5,000.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indian law.

21Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zinga and its officers, employees and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or of any law, your Content, your conduct at a Battleground or fixture, or damage you cause to venue property.

22Disputes & governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Step 1 — Talk to us. Raise the issue with our Grievance Officer at grievance@zingasportz.com. We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve within 30 days. Most disputes end here.

Step 2 — Arbitration. Any dispute not resolved under Step 1 will be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator appointed by Zinga with your consent. The seat and venue of arbitration is Bengaluru, Karnataka, proceedings will be in English, and the award will be final and binding.

Step 3 — Courts. Subject to the above, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing prevents either party from seeking urgent interim relief from a competent court.

23Changes to these terms

We may amend these Terms as the platform develops or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes we will give at least 14 days' notice by email or in-app notification. Continuing to use the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the change, stop using the Services and close your account.

24General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, applicable Competition rulebooks and any signed Partner Agreement form the entire agreement between us.
  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
  • Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including weather, epidemic, civic restriction, power or network failure, or government action.
  • Relationship. Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship between you and Zinga.
  • Notices. We may send notices to your registered email or in-app. Notices to us must go to the address in Section 25.
  • Language. These Terms are drafted in English, which prevails over any translation.
