The Commanders Cup, contested at zone level
The Kings Cup, contested across a city
The Lords Cup, contested across several cities

Play more. Climb higher.

Four open-entry cups, one ladder.

Anyone can enter a Warriors Cup. The cups above it open as your club builds a match record, so the teams you face have played as much cricket as you have.

Matches count wherever you played them. Quick Play games, Warriors, Commanders, all of it adds to the same total.

  1. Ground level Warriors Cup Your home ground. Open to every club, with no minimum matches played. This is where most teams start.
  2. Zone level Commanders Cup Teams from across your zone. Requires 10 matches played.
  3. City level Kings Cup The city-wide bracket. Requires 20 matches played.
  4. Across cities Lords Cup Zinga's largest open-entry competition, played across several cities because no single city can field it. Requires 30 matches played.

League progression

The minimum match history belongs to your club, not to you personally. Every match your club plays contributes, including Quick Play and matches you were not in.

Joining an established club gives you access through its existing match record. Meeting a threshold does not remove other entry requirements or guarantee an available place. Rankings measure performance; they are separate from these club match thresholds.

The path

From leagues to championships

Play eligible matches, build your ranking and meet the published cycle and area requirements. Championship places are selected, not purchased.

INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Selected as a player

For individual championships, Zinga selects players from the ranking and then builds balanced teams from that pool.

Squads are filled to a fixed role ratio and balanced so no side collects all the strongest players in any one role.

TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

Selected as a club

For team championships, a selected club fields a squad drawn from the members who actually played and contributed during the cycle.

How it works

Championship selection cycle

Every other tournament on Zinga is open. You pay, you enter, you play. Championships work the other way round. Zinga sets a cycle, counts what you did inside it, and selects from the top of the ranking.

Championships do not award ranking points themselves. They read the points you earned everywhere else. That is the whole idea: the cricket you play all season is the trial.

The championship cycle

  1. Cycle opens

A defined period where your tournament performances count towards your ranking.

    01
  2. Matches count

All your eligible matches in the cycle contribute to your ranking.

    02
  3. Ranking locks

Rankings are read at the end of the cycle, so selection is made on a fixed field.

    03
  4. Selection announced

Players and clubs are selected and notified on the final rankings.

Eligibility

What decides whether you are eligible

Find a tournament
  1. Your ranking inside the cycle

Only matches played within the championship’s cycle count. The cycle is published when the championship is announced.

  2. Where you played

Impact is calculated per area. Qualifying in any one eligible area is enough.

  3. Your club type

A championship can be restricted to particular club types, for example corporate or college only. This is stated at announcement.

Individual and club qualification

Individual championships

  1. A ranking from eligible matches inside the announced cycle, in at least one eligible area
  2. Selected from that ranking into squads balanced by playing role

Club championships

  1. A club ranking from eligible matches inside the announced cycle, in at least one eligible area
  2. A club type the championship allows, where it is restricted
  3. A squad drawn from members who played during the cycle; a listed player is replaced only with their consent in the app

Area sponsorship enables an area’s players and clubs to take part in selection for the announced cycle. Each announcement sets the cycle dates, eligible areas and any club type restriction.

Selection gets you into a championship; match results decide the winner.

REAL COMPETITION, REAL REWARDS

Prizes are attached to rounds, not places.

In most Zinga cups, prize money is set against each round of the competition. Win a round, earn that round’s amount. Amounts do not accumulate: a team keeps the value of the last round it won.

The exact ladder for any tournament is published on its page before entry opens.
